Seminar "Geotechnical aspects related to foundations for offshore wind farms" - Dr. Eng. Marco D'Ignazio
On December 20th, 2023 at 2 pm, Dr. Eng. Marco D'Ignazio, geotechnical engineer at Ramboll (Finland) and post-doctoral researcher at Tampere University (Finland), will held a seminar on the geotechnical aspects related to foundations for offshore windfarms.
The seminar will give an overview on the techniques of geotechnical investigations, on the geotechnical characterization of offshore windfarms and on the related risks associated to the construction of foundations on different soils at various depths. The talk will move then on the different types of foundation commonly used in the industry and on the functionality of the different structures in relation to the site characteristics and soil behavior.
